I am always trying to use my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the community

A project designed and built by me. The objective of this project is to provide knowledge and information to women, especially teenagers so that necessary steps of screening and visiting a doctor in the early stages of the disease can be taken. It also aims to provide psychological support that will help women undergoing treatment.
When cancer crosses stage 2, not only is the chance of survival 10%, but the cost of the treatment can wipe out the savings of a low-income family, thereby affecting the education of their children, the nation builders. Can be avoided by early detection. However due to poor awareness of cancer and its early symptoms, and women not being able to speak out, in the towns and villages, the rate of early detection is meager.
The vast prevalence of smartphones provides an opportunity to spread awareness to all women.
The website created, provides information about cancer, how it manifests, stages of cancer, the costs of treatment at various stages. It provides videos of cancer survivors to provide guidance and inspiration to the patients. It also has resources that can be used by women and their families for treatment, psychological support, NGOs who help free of cost, and doctors who have volunteered to provide guidance.
I also prepared a booklet to guide teenagers about cancers and their early symptoms and actions thereof.
To work on this project, I took two certification courses on Coursera- Introduction to Breast Cancer, by Yale University, and Introduction to Biology of Cancer- Johns Hopkins University, USA.

Research on Societal Challenges
The proliferation of digital social media- where should the line be drawn?
The research explored the benefits and evils of the use by subscribers of the open, free and unhindered social media and the digital surveillance by governments, on individuals, society, and nations.
Though conflicting, there are valid reasons for the needs of the social media companies collecting data of subscribers and the surveillance by governments, and the opposition of the subscribers for the same.
I suggested solutions to balance the needs of both, to create a safe living.
A critical note on a news report opposing Neoliberalism
Explored the conflict of the need to privatize essential services to the population of the country such as rail, gas, electricity, etc. for achieving higher efficiencies and the negative impact of the increase in prices of these services, especially for the poor, as the companies will want to increase their profits.
